Playlist 375 - Oct 27 2015
A show of two halves and a lot less talking from me:
The first half hour is pretty peppy and has:
Saucy sexy Tender Prey with irresistible organ and dropped snare beats
Field Music bringing us back in touch with light and wonderful prog pop
Cardiacs reissued from 1984, bonkers ska-inflected dance music
Two fantastic power pop belters from ORK Records back catalogue, The Marbles and Richard Lloyd.
The second half hour is slower and includes:
Slow Moving Clouds, wonderful Finnish-Irish folk collab with cello
Alela Diane & Ryan Francesconi making the appearance of the sun sound like the wondrous event it actually is
Chloe March making head-spinning dream pop
And Julia Holter making a class of mutant showtunes, love them.
Wonderful and more on the blog.
